Heroes of the Storm

Heroes of the Storm is a free-to-play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. The game revolves around a cooperative online combat mode of five against five players, operated through the Battle.net page, Blizzard’s online gaming service.

Heroes and maps

Players can choose from five game modes, which include playing against computer-controlled heroes or other players. When players start the game, they can only use six to ten heroes provided by the free heroes rotation, a methodically selected list that changes every week, but by using gold, a source of in-game currency, or through microtransactions, you can have permanent access to a hero. There are fifty-one heroes currently in the game divided into four distinct categories. Of the eleven published maps, eight have the three main standard lines where players can fight, which we have grown to love from games such as DOTA 2 and League of Legends. Other maps have only two main lanes but a separate objective-based area. A one-lane map is available only in custom games. and a single-line map available only in custom games.

Gain experience points

Killing enemies, either neutral units or the opposing team’s heroes, grants experience points, which are shared with the entire team. This creates a healthy, player-friendly environment where players on the same team are not competing for experience points. In the MOBA community, this has been seen as a relief especicially considering the toxic flame wars which we have become accustomed to when playing games such as LoL. When a certain level of experience of a team is reached, each of the heroes at that level come together, acquiring slightly increased abilities and talent points when they reach levels 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 20. Experience points allow players to customize their hero’s abilities and generally lead to a large increases in power, especially at levels 10 and 20.

Pace across the map with animal rides

Players can also ride different creatures, such as horses and unicorns, to increase their movement speed. Players automatically dismount when they take damage or use a skill. The minions of neutral camps can also be defeated to get mercenaries fighting for the player.
