nGlide is a 3Dfx Voodoo Glide wrapper. It allows you to play games designed for 3Dfx Glide API without the need for having 3Dfx Voodoo graphics card.
What is Glide?
Glide is a three-dimensional computer graphics application programming interface. It was developed as an open-source by 3dfx Interactive for their three-dimensional accelerator cards. Glide is based on the world view of a large graphics library (OpenGL), and basic geometry.
The combination between Glide’s API and the hardware performance of Voodoo Graphics produced Voodoo cards, which in 90’s dominated the gaming market.

What is nGlide?
nGlide is a Glide wrapper which supports all three API versions (glide.dll, glide2x.dll, and glide3x.dll). With its help, users can play games designed for 3Dfx Glide API even if they do not have 3Dfx Voodoo Graphics card.
DOS Glide Games
Using a third-party tool, called DOSBox, nGlide can support DOS Glide games.
Resolution
This wrapper supports 16:10 and 16:9 widescreen resolution and the developer advice is to set the original 4:3 aspect ratio for these resolutions in order to avoid image stretching.
